To support independent expeditions and outdoor learning, we would like to raise €4,000 to purchase 3 brand new satellite messenger devices that enhance student navigation, planning, and safety. These tools complement, not replace, map, compass, and decision‑making skills, adding confidence through secure connectivity. This is a first for BSM.
Students will lead with terrain awareness and sound judgement while gaining hands‑on experience with the same satellite systems that underpin global travel, aviation, and space exploration, connecting outdoor learning to real‑world technology.
Satellite connectivity will allow us to track groups and respond rapidly in an emergency, providing reassurance without reducing independence. This investment reflects BSM’s commitment to developing confident, capable, and future‑ready learners who explore with skill and purpose.
